Problem with SH3 Cmndr?

I have dusted off my SH3 and have gotten sort of up to speed on some of the latest mods. I have GWX3 installed as well as the commander files, this is not new. I recently installed patched exe and confirmed that that was working correctly. I also installed MaGUI 3.4 and the relative files for my Mods, as well as the MEP v 3 with corrected files.

When I launched SH3 through Commander I see that the game was loaded by SH3 Cmndr, however I was not seeing my selected option reflected in game such as start patrols at sea and skip intro movies. I have auto roll back selected and noticed upon quiting the game that SH3 comndr also shut down( i don't remember of it used to do that or not, I thought it did not). I had a few instances of the black sky and resolved that by removing and reinstalling the atmoshphere files. I do run Win7 and then luanched Cmndr "as administrator" and wound up with a much different game. There were no longer intro movies. I had the GWX splash screen(not MEP3) and my patrols started at sea. Also, it appeared that many mods were not installed. The MaGUI was gone.

So.....do I need to re-install SH3 Cmndr or is something else going on?

Still unable to edit my log with SH3 commander.
I do not see any label on the bottom of the form, as it should be...

I'm not sure what the problem could be. I don't have anything installed right now, so I can't look at my own and try to help.

You have a corrupt install.....reinstall and point Commander to the GWX installation (after having installed the Commander cfg file of course).

Have you performed a registry clean?

lafeeverted 01-09-13 04:36 PM

general maintenance clean, but not specifically after the uninstall

Hello all, I've got a couple of quick questions:

1. About the Date folder in SH3 Commander -
if there are items in a date, for example a radio news flash in the 19390901 folder, does that file continue to play past that date, say the next date folder is 19390915? or does the next date override it?

and
2. in the Random folder -
do I enter the folder structure from SH3 for the random items? for example more than one version of Fanfara_01.wav... or just put the wav files in the Random folder?

Thanks in advance

I know it will continue to play, but I don't know for how long. I've heard some messages repeated.

Each file has to be in its own numbered folder, and has to follow the correct path. Each item in the random folder also has to be dated, and the date has to be 19390101. The path is as follows: Random/folder # (0,1,2 etc)/Date/19390101/data/sound/fanfara_01.wav.

If you'd like to have 25 different fanfares playing at random, plus 100 different loading screens already done for you, look here:
