Looking for books
With my birthday coming up (30th april), and expecting to mainly get money from grandparents, I was wondering what books I could get, specifically on the Battle for the Atlantic/Naval vessels of WW2 etc.
Recomendations would be much appriciated. |
"Battle of the Atlantic" Donald Macintyre (Absolute classic)
"The Real Cruel Sea: The Merchant Navy and the Battle of the Atlantic" Richard Woodman "Convoy The Greatest U-boat Battle of the War" Martin Middlebrook "Arctic Convoys 1941-1945" Richard Woodman "The Fiercest Battle: The Story of North Atlantic Convoy ONS5, 22nd April - 7th May 1943" Rear Admiral Peter Gretton (out of print but well worth searching out.) |
well its not set in the atlantic but - "Wahoo The Patrols of America's Most Famous WWII Submarine" is a great read...
