WoS - Escort Corvette bugged

Hello, I encountered a strange bug. I spotted a warship convoy, 3 destroyers and 1 corvette north of Irland. I had to approach them to identify them before I recognized warships, so I let them go but the corvette left the others and just maintained his current distance and bearing to my sub.
After several hours, I ordered deck awash and full speed. The corvette just maintained the same bearing and distance, she was in my 240°.
So i stopped, then she just made circles to maintain that same bearing.

After saving and reloading while submerged, she just left and everything was back to normal.

Strange.

Another thing, is it normal that the current wind is 0 m/s since few days of ingame time?

Thanks

Yes I remember to have read that in the TWoS thread, some enemy ships could remain stucked in following you. It's proposed to save and reload game to fix.
I have yet to see this one, must be kind of nasty, try to reach a friendly port with your 'escort'.. :)

Maybe it has to do with the use of TC. I remember in SH1 if you use TC > 16 then all enemy ships will magically come over you after you escape them... Maybe a heritage of this game.

It's just a bug of the game. Save and reload and they will leave, or if you are close to land, you can run them aground by getting real close to the land on the side they are on.:03:

Oki thanks, that’s why I did, save and reload and that worked.
And for the wind, you think it is normal to have 0 m/s for days?

I have found that the weather seems to me to change more when I run both on the surface at night and submerged during the day vs just running on the surface.

I don't know if the weather changes more often when submerged. I am just wondering if I have a bug of stuck weather, because I updated for the first time from 2.0.9 toward 2.1.2 and I restored the snapshot as per instructions.

I think before updating and restoring the snapshot, I had changed and enabled the option about the wind, the one allowing the wind speed to reach 60 m/s as a maximum and 0 m/s as a minimum. As I just checked again, the reset of the snapshot changed it again to disabled, so maybe that's the reason why the weather is stucked... not sure anymore...

I will just continue like that for a few ingame days and change the option again to see..

If someone has a clue, thanks for the help

Clearly a Russian Navy ship spying on NATO

Sorry, I should have updated this post as I found a solution for the corvette bugged, Just reload a savegame. I apologies because I noticed the answer is in the FAQ. It's amazing how you can just forget things you read in few minutes when you are not concerned, cause yes I did read the FAQ several times.

For the wind speed stuck I made a separate thread

Thanks

Wind in TWoS should be between 0-15 m/s as Vecko told me in another thread.

The alternative cumbesome solution...

I have had the same experience recently. Did not know save and reload would solve it. I sailed close to the Scotish coast and made a sharp turn. The destroyed following me at constant distance probably tried to make the short cut, hit the coast line and disappeared. I thought that was a creative solution.
