RSRDC is no longer being updated for v1.4... The version for v1.5 is actively developed.

BTW, RSRDC wasn't considered "unstable" for v1.4...

That should have been enabled in the stock version. Warships already react if action takes place nearby at sea, same should have been enabled in port. Just saying.

There has to be a way to mod this somehow!

Via either a trigger or making an escort for a docked ship...

Hmmmm, I will experiment with this.

What we really need is a ship that "appears" "Docked" to come to life after any other ship in port is torpedoed and start hunting, like an escort.

A docked ship will come to life if attacked as long as the "docked ship" box is not checked. They will 'usually' stay put without it checked but sometimes if not positioned right they will 'float away'.
A destroyer or gunboat will shoot even if the docked ship is checked, so if you surface or up periscope they will shoot at you. And if they are 'undocked' they will attack.
But, you can't change it from a 'docked' ship to an 'undocked' ship because it won't spawn within 20nm of you. And a trigger won't work on another ship except to make it spawn and move at whatever speed and heading you give it.

So, the idea is workable but not the best. The part about destroyers attacking from other ports would work as long as they are 20nm away. They don't even have to come from a port, they could be spawned at sea 20nm away and have waypoints heading to the port and would not even be there unless you triggered a zone, such as entering a port. Otherwise they would never exist. A couple of good examples would be Manila, it's far enough in they could come out to give you a welcoming party. And Rabaul, if you come up from Brisbane and try to sneak in the east way, the north entrance is far enough away they could actually beat you to the harbor.

A bit off topic, but if you want to see something funny sneak into Saigon, unless they fixed it with this mod the ships are spawned but not deleted before the next random spawn. There were four crosses in the harbor. (two ships that spawned on top of each other.)

I am using RSRD over TM (both for ver 1.5) Can I use this mod without messing everything up?

It shows the ownership and location of airbases throughout the Pacific. A pretty handy mod if it can be used.

I toyed with this at one time, but it didn’t workout. It would take a lot of work to role this into the current version of RSRDC

Submarine is a section header. A "D-Class" destroyer was removed, then below you have changes made to submarines.

Has anyone else noticed that the RFB version's additional ships (NCV Hiyo etc.) show up as airplanes on the map? Does RSRDC need a *_shp.dds or can these files be deleted?

RSRDC V395 Patch 1 is up to correct this problem. see first post for download link

This is a “WARNING” to all RSRDC V395 users:

There is a bug in the CrewMember.upc files of RFB 1.5 that causes SH4 to CTD during a SpecOps Mission. The problem happens when the system gives you the prompt to launch the “life raft” during a re-supply mission. Therefore if you are assign a “SpecOps” mission from RSRDC, “reject” the mission for the time being until this problem can be corrected

Lurker I honest to God don't see how you keep up with all of this.:-? With all the support for the different versions and all that entails, I don't see how you have time for anything.

Having successfully completed an entire war career; I stripped the pc of all things SH4; reinstalled it and added RSRD. Now in my first Balao in the Celebes area, wonderful lack of those damned aircraft.

Was off Amon Island last patrol and shadowed 4 ships, remains of a convoy to the coast. As I lined up the first - all four vanished!!! :damn:

They reached their last pre-determined waypoint, after which they were set to be deleted (i.e. disappear). You were just extremely unlucky! :D

Hi guys,

I noticed with every combo of RSRD, (on TM 3.71or RFB 3.95or alone 3.55) that the jap DDs lost their DC racks; the (double) stern ones and the one on the left side.
The depth charge throwers are still there (with increased salvo?), but since they throw sideways accuracy is off.
Is this an RSRD mod? I am really curious about the idea behind it...:hmm:
