Off with Flu last week and this week very bad headaches coughing sleepless nights. Getting fed up with this now, dam viruses!

Concluding my Sunday pasttime, a Monkey Island marathon. MI 2 was a bit of a downer after MI 1 but next time, MI 3 is on the menu and that one is gold.

Today I am planning to visit an out-of-the-way charity/thrift shop where my wife told me she saw "loads" of old pc games for sale on Saturday. "Why the heck didn't you ring me and tell me what they'd got?" I asked. "There were just too many... it would've taken ages" she said.

I'll maybe put in a report later on what I found :)

Well the shop was bloody closed, of course.

Never mind... I'm going out on my bike to photograph some sheep later on, as it's a nice warm day here. I'll try and find a pretty one for Reece :)

^Don't overlook any RLS first-editions at the thrift shop!:yeah:

You're a bit late, he's already found one.

I'm guessing these are Southdowns in need of a trim. The one on the left looks as though she might, Reece.

Idling, enjoying a cup(s) of coffee now that I have a break in my day.

Had a decent weekend. Went Friday to the racetrack to do some drag racing but it rained out. Saturday I poked around a pick-and-pull junkyard to find some bits for my car, visited some friends and Sunday I helped a friend of mine upgrade his brakes on his Fiesta ST.

It's relaxing and satisfying work to keep me busy. This new town is dead on the weekends so I've taken to doing lots of car stuff.

Been around local dealers looking for a new car but grow irritable and tired of over zealous salesmen.

Dealers are terrible people. :arrgh!: They care for nothing except your wallet.

Scan the classifieds is all I have to say. It might take longer but you can be surprised what comes up for private sales.

I'm after something new/straight off the production line so dealers are an unavoidable irritant.

^Japanese, German, English, or American? Sedan, sport, or wagon?

Jimbuna 10-04-16 04:19 PM

Not fussed but something economical (1000-1300cc engine).

Well as cents-per-mile minded X- trucker with 240k on a '05 5 spd-stick no-frills Corolla and still owning an '86 Camry-loaded automatic, also 240K that shows no signs of 'conveniently' dying; I'm in the same boat at least as far as my business car having to be reliable; mingled with pick good ol' man :o....this could be the last new car U ever get. None of the Toyotas incl. a '92 Tercel with 300K ever needed a major repair service. Essentially oil, filters and tyres-amazing! http://www.greencarreports.com/photos/toyota_corolla_2016#image=100535747 I'm leaning toward the hybrid 2016 Corolla which is a little more expensive. Today's Wall Street Journal has it: car sales are hurting so deal/incentives abound:hmmm: At $26,990, it’s not cheap — an entry level manual Corolla starts at $19,790 — but it comes well equipped. JEEZE! in just looking up cars, even the on-line car sites are irritable!

My heart says BMW because life is short and Ultimate Driving Machine and such but that's not what you're looking for. :)

The UK is an entirely different market with unfortunate gas prices and the car enthusiast inside me would drool over all the European-only offerings available over there. I would love to drive anything RHD. :yeah:
