688 HK in W7

Hi! I've just installed this great game in my Pc (W7 Platform) but I've not been able to run it. At the time it sounds, the music stops and no graphics appears. I've tried to use W95/98/2000/XP compatibility and nothing happened. I'm using DOSBOX and don't let me play. Any idea for running? My W7 is 32 bits. Thank you and sorry for my english :)

Hi Psikotroniks,

I don't know if this is of any help, but 688i HK runs fine under VirtualBox. On the down side you'll need an old version of Windows (XP or Win95/98) to install in your VirtualBox, and then install 688i HK in your VirtualBox.

VirtualBox seems to work fine under both Linux and Windows 7 and I run 688i HK fine under both operating systems using VirtualBox running Windows XP. As a bonus you can use the VirtualBox scale mode to scale the VirtualBox window to the size you want.

Take care.

Sometimes under nvidia, creation of a special setup for the older games helps. The problem is that you have to take a good length of time trying to figure out, what to tweak and how.

Psikotroniks, have you gotten the game to run right yet? Here are some screenshots of it on my win7 64bit system. I did not even patch it to v1.07.
see the specs written in red in the first graphic.
