My first car :D

Just bought my first car! Saw this little beasty from the bus yesterday morning, little did I know I'd be putting a deposit on it the next day lol. I'm really rather excited.

'99 Zuki Vitara JX 4 U Soft-top :D

Betonov 04-24-12 02:11 PM

Nice :DL

Vitara pops up as a choice for my next car, but I'd prefer the Samurai. Can't affford a Landrover and I'm not paying more than €500 for a car thats not 4x4. These Suzuki's are more than capable of going places where a muscle car would die :DL

Spike88 04-24-12 02:14 PM

That's not a car, it's an SUV. :O:

Congratulations either way.

My first car was this:

She was a nice van. How I miss her. :wah:

I am counting down the days to my full liscence

One day left on my car I'm flogging on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2808684441...84.m1555.l2649

Could've been yours AJ, you're not a million miles away (just far enough for me not to travel everyday for a Krispy Kreme). :DL

I'm moving on to a newer, but even smaller engined car :o

Gargamel 04-24-12 04:24 PM

Grats.

Have fun on your roof!

Seriously, they love to flip over, be careful. Responded to more than a few if those on their roofs.

ajrimmer42 04-24-12 04:38 PM

I'd have loved an SJ but these things are second best and it was too good a deal not to take :) However Defender 90s will always be my fav 4x4, with the exception of maybe UAZ 469s, but they're rarer than rocking horse sh*t

What counts as first car. First you buy or first your parents let you drive?

Sailor Steve 04-24-12 08:24 PM

Both, in their own ways. The first car you drive is remembered forever. But then, so is the first one that's truly your own.

ajrimmer, I have an 03 Suzuki XL7, it has 151,000 miles and has been virtually trouble free. A Great Car, I hope yours brings you the same experience.

Sledgehammer427 04-24-12 09:58 PM

I recently acquired a 1986 Chrysler Lebaron from my dad in November. I've put about....4,000 miles on it at least, but man, that car is all class, washed and detailed, it would look like it just rolled off the line. It's not falling apart like the other ones I've seen around here.
Which reminds me that I'm due for an oil change.

(EDIT: This is relevant because the car is registered in my name, and I bought and I pay the insurance on it, I buy the gas, and everything else it needs, and never before have I been so happy to be responsible for something!)

@OP: Neat car, I hope you enjoy it.

I could probably barely fit in it though.

Cheers man, amazingly for a 13 year old vehicle this one only has 30,000 on the clock, mechanically it's absolutely perfect

First buy. I was on my Dad's insurance for a little while after I passed my test so I got to drive his old Mazda 6 but I was a bit paranoid about pranging it so i didn't drive it much lol.
