A quote from someone on the Team Daidalos regarding the 4.09 patch :salute:

I'm glad to inform you that patch 4.09 release candidate has just been recompiled. After intensive testing, if no further bug will be found, it will be officially released soon.

PS. It will take surely less than "Two Weeks".

Let's hope so. Does anyone know whether this will cause any problem with the mods?

Nah, dont think there's going to be many problems. And if there is, I think the community just sticks with the 4.09b. I mean, the only useful thing about the patch is the new radar thingy.

Heres a quote from the interview. "
guod: Will the 4.09 update void any mods? Or mods dealing with specific areas?
Oleg: The intention was to not disable or fight with the mods. We wanted to finalize the beta patch and deliver some new content IL-2 fans might have been waiting for."

Hmm, guess it can't hurt installing it on a separate installation until the mods catch up.

I know that the guys at SAS have made their mod activator work with the new patch. The people at the IL-2 mod site whos name we are not supposed to type are elated inspite of the fact that they didn't come out with the fix first.:haha:

XabbaRus 10-03-09 01:57 PM

Well I might roll back to vanilla IL-2 for this.

Pity the radar thingy isn't activated

Oberon 10-03-09 02:01 PM

I dunno, there's not a lot in the patch that really stood out to me, if they'd fixed the .303s then I'd consider it, but about the only thing I liked the look of was that bomber that Raptor wanted. :hmmm:

Task Force 10-03-09 02:04 PM

found out on a copy of my il2 that is dosent work with the UI 1.1 mod.

Raptor1 10-03-09 02:12 PM

Seperate installs can't hurt anything...but your disk space...

Task Force 10-03-09 02:15 PM

Il2 dosent want install again... I never thought to keep a seperate stock install.

Rename the original folder, tell it to uninstall, rename the original back and then install somewhere else. That way it'll think it uninstalled it and allow you to install another one.

I tryed the SAS fix and it works 100%, ui1.1 and all other mods that I downloaded from AAA all still work!!:yeah:
