Yes, Back to ground Zero! Then add both the Christmas Present AND the Mission 6 MOD auto-Installer versions, NOT the JSGME version. :salute:

On a totally clean install, I ran the Christmas present, then ran the mission 6. This is the error I get now.

Critical Error: [Script Manager] Duplicate Class "CTenMeterScaleMode" definition

Ok lets try some thing here. First did you have to manually delete any files
or directories after you did the UN-Install? There is an issue here with TvT
leaving files and directories afterwards that need to be manually deleted.
Second, did you use the auto-Installer versions? This will eliminate allot of hassles and confusion caused by the JSGME versions.
Third, make sure when you installed the new Mission 6 mod there are no duplicate directories installed in the root TVT directories
What I mean is check to see if there may have been this scenario:

C:\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 vs Tiger\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 vs Tiger

Stick with me man we will get this fixed,

No Herr Oberst, I did not have to delete any leftover files, as after the un-install I had lost the TVT folder entirely. So another clean install ensued. Now I'm just making sure I play a mission before installing mods 1 and 2. I never used JSGME, so I never have had that kinda problem.
Remember, I'm running XP SP2, and yes Sir, I know where the files go.
If this does not work, I will un-install and run a registry cleaner, then try again.

Ok KdF, Please understand that a duplicate class error means there are two file that contain the same data. But also understand that all of the class duplication errors are not flagged all at the same time. So what that means
there could be 100s. That is why you need to check the directory structure
to make absolutely sure there is no duplicate install in the root directories.

Don't give up

OK.
Installed base, played fine.
Installed Christmas Present, played fine.
Will install Mission 6 tomorrow, as it's time to crash.
I'll let ya know.

Hmm did you install "Mission 6" over the "Zanta is here - mission" ?

Yeah, coming off that hill in VIII gear it's easy to top 45KPH (27MPH).

no, it's supposedly reworked to fix the lock-up Issue, with a few extra codes thrown in. AFAIK.

Now for the report, still locked up. Maybe I am playing it wrong. No help from my two compainons. They just sat around the base. I took out everything. Went up the hill by the 2 AT guns and froze. Will try Puffs suggestion next go round, and maybe they will pass by, as the 1st time they loitered and I just HAD to take 'em out. I aims to please yanno...............

Hi KdF would you try to adjust your sound card
settings in the "Windows Settings" go to - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio- Devices - Audio - Sound playback - Advanced - performance -

Hardware acceleration: set the slider to None.

Because this sim dose not directly access hardware but uses Direct X9
as a go between so to speak this could be a source of the lockup. It will have no noticeable affect in sound quality in the game so just give it a try.

Hang in there KdF,
ZeeWolf

KdF 01-12-10 07:02 PM

Done, well it was already there. DRAT!
Went to DXDIAG, put acceleration bar all the way to the left from the middle, same.
DOUBLE DRAT!

I dunno...both these computers have onboard sound. Nothing like the old AWE16's or 32's. Maybe this game just hates these onboards.:damn:

Oh well............
