any news on TMO1.80

Has anyone heard of a release for TMO 1.80?

just asking, Ducimus deserves a break after all the stuff he implemented

Current version of RSRDC for TMO 1.7 "will" work with the current beta version of TMO v 1.8

Hey Lurker, while i was attempting to load up RSRD for the new TMO 1.8 I noticed this.

"AI_Sensors.dat" has already been altered by the "TriggerMaru_Overhaul_17" mod.
"AI_Sensors.dat" has already been altered by the "BETA_TMO_17_to_18" mod.

I was just wondering if you could briefly tell me what the AI changes are. this is the only file conflicting with 1.8.

Red Devil 08-05-09 04:47 AM

I wouldn't worry about that as its normal for one mod to alter a file ahead of another mod. All it means is that the necessary information is already installed, a 'notice' I see quite often. Its not a conflict as such but telling you the necessary change has already been completed satisfactorily.

Can I get a link to download this please?

Yet SHIV crashes every time it starts to load; the loading bar on the splash screen gets about 2/3s of the way then I get a windows error. I disabled RSRD (retaining just TMO + fixes) and it loads normally. Here is the load order in the mod enabler:

TriggerMaru_Overhaul_17
TMU_Hotfix_041709
MaxOptics&SCAFFix TMO 1.7_41109
RSRDC_TMOv170_v411
RSRDC_v411_Patch2

Thanks for any help!

I get exactly the same, I have downloaded, erased and downloaded again but still ctd about halfway through the loading bar. I removed RSRDC fully and loaded with just trigger maru with no problem at all. So it must be RSRDC, can't figure out the problem though running out of ides

I suspect that you have downloaded the "wrong" version of RSRDC. The current download versions of RSRDC_TMOv170_V11 and Patch2 have been re-downloaded and confirmed to "binary" match the CM controlled version.

There have been over 1400 downloads of both V411 and the patch, and so far I've only heard you and one other say their having a CTD.

I think you need to recheck what your downloading and installing

Where the Targets Are

No targets? Its a B-I-G ocean, and you have to be in the right place (at the right time). Lurker has the ships and convoys pretty much accurate as to where they actually were. Not sure if there are any extras thrown in.

I've been in the Asiatic Fleet since the start of the war, and haven't had any trouble finding targets. Usually, when I finally get to my partol area, targets are scarce. I've been assigned to the S. China Sea, and always have to reload/refuel at Darwin at least once, and as many as four times just to get to the partol area - I run out of torpedoes before getting anywhere near the area. Here's the cruise I usually take:

Freemantle ==> Darwin (top off fuel)
Darwin ==> Banda Sea via passage W. of Timor
Banda Sea between Buru and Ceram (targets around Ambon Island) ==> W. of Obi
Obi ==> Molucca Sea (targets transit between Halmahera and Celebes)
Molucca Sea ==> Celebes Sea (Choke Point in passage between Kema and islands)
Celebes Sea ==> Sulu Sea (Choke Point is passage W. of Tawi Tawi)
Sulu Sea ==> S. China Sea via Balabac Strait Choke Point or Minboro Strait
S. China Sea - Saigon/Camrahn Bay ==> Hong Kong/S. Formosa shipping lane

I have yet to even get to the S. China Sea without returning to Darwin at least once to reload. Most of the targets are unescorted single freighters or tankers. Life gets alot easier after you get RADAR installed.

You have to loiter around known convoy routes and slowly zig zag across the route, ships will appear, fairly regularly.

RSRDC

First two patrols were odd with no contacts, but now I'm sold on RSRDC. Third time out, spotted two unescorted IJN Heavy Cruisers in 89 ft. of water, closed within 900 range and took them both out. Subsequent patrols have been great, stalking the shoals and grabbing tankers inbound.

Have to say this mod delivers on all levels, can't imagine playing the 'shoot em up' stock version again.

Happy Hunting! And thanks for the great mod Lurker! Lucky to have modders willing to take the time to make these sims so much more immersive and realistic.

Completely agree Raven, we are in their debt.

Hello,

Thank you for an excellent mod. I also have had no issues finding ships and have seen plenty of aircraft which leads me to my question.

I have

RFB_v152
RSRDC_RFBv15_v421
RSRDC_V421_Patch2

installed via JSGME

I have only one glitch, I have been dive bombed by "betty's" that are crashing into the ocean and bouncing off the water strangely?

Is this an original SH bug? or a mod issue? 2 other types of Japanese amphibians are attacking me w/o these issues, the single engine single float and a 4 engine, but the betty issue has happened 3 times now on this 1st patrol. I have a save before it happens one time and can recreate it.

Thank you for any info.

Red Devil 08-27-09 04:05 AM

I have shot down loads of planes and been dive bombed with no bounces? Could be just a full stop instead of a comma? Ah but .......... my mods are different
