This is a HUGE mod..and possible corruption just getting the one file during transfer...

Whats the chances at this size, you break it up into rar files for distro?

3-4 smaller files might be less a hassle and might get more people to download it?

Justa some thoughts..

I have seen this mod adds many new surface vessels. :up:

What about playables ? I tried using it as mega addon for Maya class crusier mod, but SH editor crashes when loading one of the maps...

Is there a workaround to have still Maya playable and/or what are the compatible "surface vessel" mods ?

I had a many ctd's in this mod but asa a last ditch attempt i went into options a killed the "high" quailty,textures in my sub and that fixed it.
Im in April 43 on my 2nd career run in this game and i love it,.
The only thing that bugs me is that Big TF at Truk it's been there since Aug42 and still there in April 43 I have hit the BB's in the TF but i aint got a clue what the other 20+ships are? and they are easy targets they are doing 4-5 knots because they are in very shallow waters.

Jsgme back to vanilla but file missing
 
Well, I play online some.. so I have to be stock with it when playing..

Using this mod only loaded with JSGME and then removing it with jsgme to go back to stock / vanilla I had the following message that did not crash me when joining the Muliplay game.. but did annoy me.. data/menu/gui/RecManual/CoVFlagRedCross.dds missing

does this version support jsgme?
did I miss something?
keep two versions on HD?
any thoughts? :hmmm:

Hmm ,

this message shows me that JSGM didnt unload the Mod in a correct way.
This can happend while enabling FOTRS.
FOTRS is a very large mod which took a long time to enable it.
It is important to do nothing on your PC during the enableprocedure.
In this case you have to reinstall SH4 to get a clean new installation.

Another question for the mod team:

A good sound mod for German Campaign ?? i added Spaxs_SH4_Uboat_SPEECH_FIX but still some voices are ENG or i hear the american dive bell...

maybe i'll try again putting it at the end of mod list. Btw question remains for a good sound mod...:D

About Sh3ToSH4Sounds, that is in Sh3EnvToSh4V27z, if you hear english speak instead of german,
go to \MODS\Sh3ToSh4Sounds\Data\Sound\Speech folder, in it is a folder named as "1" then make 8 copies of this folder and name them from 2 to 9.
so that you have nine folders named 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. now you shoud only hear german lanquage. reason why I put only one folder in my mod =
Saved a lot of work ,also 160Mt smaller mod size.:woot:

About Deck gun aa etc I think that you can remove then in upc files.
That is go to \Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\MODS\FalloftherisingSun_V1.2_SH4V1.5\Data\ Submarine\ there are upc file like this NSS_Balao.upc you can edit it with text editor,

I think i have found the best mod combination for this sim..TMO 1.7 with FOTRS sounds.. Try it i think you will like it..:D

Thanks! one the main reasons i choosed FOTRS for now is the addition of many more ships, warships as well... Sounds for now & Enviroment carateristics are not my favourites, but UI is far better... SPAX sounds v8 for U-boots is a great addition, obviously if playing as german...

So I have a question ...

This mod is NOT compatible with RSRDC, and I would REALLY like to install these new ships. However, every time I try to install just the ships, the game crashes ....

How do I install just the ships from this mod? Could any one here give me a list of files maybe or point me in the right direction?

Integrating units into a mod takes a lot of changes. Taking units from FOTRS and trying to make them work in RSRDC "as is" is just not going to work.
