<div>hey fellas i have another question regarding the hunting by hydro, i've got a decent feel for it now i mostly started using the four bearing method...but ....what do you do when say for example ur soundguy pops up saying &quot;new contact bearing 137 degrees&quot; so you start to track it ... u wait the alloted amount of time say for example 10 mins, you check again...only this time it tells you the bearing of the warship.... and its back and forth and back and forth without ever getting a steady reading... is there some kind of little trick that im not aware of to just focus in on the merchant instead of the warship?</div>

<div>I know I have not been posting lots lately, as usual real life and work has kept me busy. I had been contemplating getting back into subsim as I have found places to purchase Dangerous Waters which I always was interested in. <br />
<br />
However in the last two days I got hit with a massive blow to the gut. A very dear friend has lost her 12 year old niece in an accident. I am gutted as I knew the child, still recall hen she was born and met her years later. Hug your kids if you have them. Recall what is important, reviews of your fave sub flick on Amazon, or nerd rage about a game console are not.</div>

I seem to be having issues with my boats gun crews. They are objecting to getting their feet a little wet. Nothing to do with bad weather, but the depth at which the boat transitions from surfaced state to submerged state.<br />
<br />
The submerged state seems to kick in when the depth passes 6m.<br />
<br />
This is unfortunate, as the boat seems to 'wallow' just beyond that depth point when stationary/one-third bell in otherwise perfect weather a gun action.<br />
<br />
Is there an easy parameter to set in a .cfg file somewhere to move this state border to 6.5 or 7 m so that my gunners stay at their posts reliably?<br />

Anyway is that an error or dose you assess to the bonus mods expire at certain donation levels? Not that any of this will bar me from donating in the future though I might choose a larger amount in the future.:hmm2:<br />

I am just curious if not being able to get the bonus mod is an error or not.<br />

For those unfamiliar with the La Brea Tar Pits, they are a large series of naturally occurring tar pools in the middle of a park in one of the most fasionable areas of Los Angeles.  The pools are the site of various fossil digs and have produced a large number of fossil finds.  The entire area of the park and beyond used to be an oil field in the early 1900s and tar, various noxious gases, and other ooze often bubbles to the suface of the streets and sidewalks in the area.  Several years back, an accumulation of gasses from underground ignited in the basement of a clothing store and went off with a very loud explosion.  Fortunately, and miraculously, no one was hurt, but there were plumes of flames burning from cracks in the sidewalk and streets as fara as a block away.<br />

have you ever wondered how your crew in SH3 can tell you that you have  just sunken a ship although the ship is more than 10km away and you are  heavily depth-charged? Probably not, because it's obviously completely  unrealistic that your crew knows exactly which ships you have sunken,  how large these were, of what kind they were,...<br />
<br />
The aim of the present mod/app is to change this unrealistic aspect of  SH3 by removing/hiding your successes as much as possible during a  patrol. Now it's you (instead of the spy-sat log) who has to pay  attention which ships sink, how large they are,... Now YOU must properly  identify the targets, witness the sinking, keep a log, and...report to  BdU after the patrol via the mod/app. BdU will then check your  report...and decide what to believe. Here's an example:<br />

How it works:<br />

The mod removes/hides your results during a patrol as good as possible.  In addition, the information is hidden in the menu screens, i.e., you  cannot accidently see the results in a menu screen. During a patrol you  must keep notes about your sinkings,... After a patrol you start the app  and enter your data (see Pic1.jpg and Pic2.jpg). After submitting the  data, your claimed results are checked and (internally) compared to the  true results. Depending on the difference, BdU will accept or reject the  claims.<br />

Installation:<br />
-------------<br />
The app is a perl script converted to an executable. If you want you can  open the executable (e.g., with 7zip) and see what the script does. You  must copy the executable to the directory where SH3 stores the  save-games/careers (usually ...\Documents\SH3\data\cfg). It should be in  the same directory as, e.g., GameplaySettings.cfg, main.cfg, and the  Careers folder. I recommend to send a link to your desktop to easily  start/access the app.<br />

To hide the information from your SH3 installation, you have to do the  following (for stock GWX and NYGM the changes are included in a  jsgme-ready mod):<br />

I am playing a singleplayer mission named HG10 and have the following issues<br />

1. CTD's happen regularly when looking through the Attack periscope.<br />
<br />
2. I was in the middle of a convoy and hit 2 ships with torpedoes and saved the game.  When i went back to it later the 2 ships were sailing along undamaged as though I had never hit them with torpedoes.  So I tried mission again and after hitting 3 ships and saving while close to convoy.  When i re-loaded the saved mission teh convoy had disappeared.  <br />
<br />
3. When i opened the mission in Mission Editor I was geeting errors that Hogg Island ship didnt exist .  <br />
<br />
Any ideas.</div>

I just uninstalled and reinstalled SH4 after having issues (I couldn't apply the patch before either). So the game is now vers 1.0 I think. <br />

If I try to apply the patch which is file name 4Gb_Patch_for_SH4.exe which was downloaded from SubSim.<br />
it says it can't apply the patch because it's an unknown version.<br />
<br />
I'm not installing into defaul folder, I install all games into C:\Games so it's C:\Games\Silent Hunter 4 which shouldn't make any difference<br />
since I point the patch to that folder.<br />
<br />
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?</div>

Today we're pleased to announce that Rise of Flight will soon be available on Steam.   Rise of Flight: Channel Battles Edition is the most comprehensive edition of ROF yet released. ROF:CBE includes the Channel Map, ten flyable aircraft, a special mission-set for the Channel Map specifically designed for the Steam version. ROF:CBE also includes all the core features of Rise of Flight which includes a Quick Mission Builder, Single Missions, Three Campaigns, Pilot Career and Multiplayer modes of gameplay. Whether a new virtual pilot or a veteran, there is something for everyone!<br />

  In addition to the main game, we will also release several DLC content packages that include additional flyable planes, field modifications, weapon modifications and personal pilot items like scarves, streamers and pistols. These DLC packages are to be released simultaneously alongside the Channel Battles Edition. This will give new Steam users the ability to rapidly set their Rise of Flight content up-to-date. Thus, we give Steam players the freedom to purchase any additional content without delay from the release date.<br />
