Description

About the mod:
SH5 sinking mechanics is completely screwed up we all know that and what was completely normal in previous SH version become desperately wanted in SH5... To see shiping sinkig in any other way except bow/stern first. Because physics is all messed up, simple adjusting ship's center of gravity wont do much good. However, there is a way...If the hill will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet will go to the hill.

I've managed to obtain some pretty cool results by rearranging positions of flotability zones in ship's zon files and by moving them further away from longitudinal axis of the ship, like it can bee seen on the pictures. However, this could be a long process because there are plenty of zon files to be edited, so any help from anyone who knows how to move zones around in goblin editor is welcome. For now there are only 4 merchants available together with the appropriate test mission. Feel free to give it a try in the test mission and report here with impressions and suggestions...

Features and goals:
- Rearranged positions of flotability zones in order to obtain more realistic sinking effects.
- Revised and increased HP/Armor values.
- Actual benefits in regard to torpedo hit location (Keel/side hit).

Compatibility:
The mod is completely compatible with TDW's FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith in order to keep all the feature that comes with this great mod and also with my fix/addon for this mod FXU_0_0_22_Ship zon Files v1.
It is also compatible with any other non conflicting mod and with The Wolves of Steel 1.03 Megamod.

Installation:
- Enable the mod with JSGME anywhere in your modlist after these mods:

FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith
FXU_0_0_22_Ship zon Files v1

- I haven't noticed any side effects when enabling this mod in the middle of the campaign so if you do so, make sure that there aren't any AI units at least 80km around your area.

I hope this mod can work in an un-modded (standard version) of the game as I have no major mods activated.

Does this mod work with the steam version of the game? I downloaded it, extracted to my mods folder and activated it via the mod enabler, however the sinkings still appear to be from the vanilla game. I hope i can make it work because this looks great!

Nightfall. It won't do anything to you. You're quite safe.
