My third attempt to make the boats look nicer. They look a little better than the originals, and some of them even have cool camouflage patterns on them. A win/win sort of deal, if you ask me.
Should be compatible with everything up to 1.3.
A quick warning - these textures probably won't work with older video cards. Also keep in mind that if you're getting poor performance currently, they won't exactly help your framerate.
Installation:
This new version is set up to allow easy installation with JoneSoft's Generic Mod Enabler, but it doesn't need it to function.
If you're using Mod Enabler, unzip this package to the SilentHunterIII/MODS directory and install it by running JSGME.exe and following the instructions.
If not, back up the contents of ".../SilentHunterIII/data/Submarine/NSS_Uboat2A" and extract the included ".dat" file to that location.
(Actually, you should probably back up that directory either way, just in case.)
**IMPORTANT: When using JSGME, DO NOT INSTALL TWO TEXTURE PACKS FOR THE SAME BOAT AT THE SAME TIME!!! Before you add another skin, you MUST remove the old one first! Otherwise Mod Enabler will become confused and MAY ERASE YOUR BACKUP COPY!
