Uses the actual depicted images from real life medals. Features better alpha-blending, fixes TMO 19 super mod. Reverse engineering tutorial (somewhat) can be found on this page at the bottom link.
Working on putting medals back in awards into box for TMO. CaptainRoom.dat file will reference this new texture file "SH4Medals.dds" with revamped medals and will eliminate badges.tga/.dds, AwardsItems_1.dds, & AwardsItems_2.dds.

I just got this game a few weeks ago, and already I spend more time reverse engineering it than I do playing it.
You do NOT need to alter the save files, UNTIL after you fix the ordering of the medals already (optional, and not needed).

In the game, it is perfect and works & looks better than what you see here. This is low grit paper I am using for representation and the color laser printer is running low on ink.
The original idea was taken from fullmetaledges who put out vII and somehow was incorporated in TMO supermod. Here is the fix to your incorrect attempt and I want to give credit where credit is due EVEN THOUGH I revamped this completely from scratch. I did salvage 60% of his alpha channel since he was the only one EVER to attempt to use some quality shading on it. Is the light angle on the shading even correct?
There were a couple other attempts from modders which I had also looked at and those were just plain crap. Sorry, but the image quality wasn't that good and what's with the SH3 medals? I am convinced by the way the config files were constructed, that those were a quick hack and were clueless needless to say.
There have been lots of reports of those with concerns to if their medals were correct to whichever mod they are using, and I have read a fair share of those reports. Hopefully my efforts will put those to rest and if there are any suggestions or feedback... to PLEASE direct it to a private message.
Here is the write up on what was done if anybody cares. Explains how the game was constructed and reasons for why UBI did what they did (IMHO).
