I recently installed a seperate install with GW Kid's Mod and it's so EASY, I wanted to play around with some other things in SH3 :D

I'd like to to change the torpedo speed value and their power (Bigger BUM!!!) and change U-boat speeds (I'd like to see my XXI doo 500kt underwater :yep:).

I've read about some program that would enable you this, but I forgot it's name.

THX!

Did you also download the tweak files pack, you will need these.

Open Mini-tweaker, load a tweak file, make your changes....and in the top right corner it says..... Locate alternate game folder

EDIT: Danlisa, any idea if it's possible to increase the explosion strenght?

BTW, it's works just fine now :)

SH3 Inspector - I don't think you can change the default path. It work at the 'mo so can't check. Sorry for not noticing that this is what you're using.

SH3 Mini-tweaker - you can make lots of changes with this, but remember to remove the copy of the edited file or your changes won't work. It will be stored in the same folder as the one you're changing.

 Posted in a very old thread....
Okay my fellow underwater explosive freaks. Here's a rule for Torpedo.zon for SH3 File Analyzer.

In it you can modify MinEF, MaxEF, MinRadius, and MaxRadius for each torpedo. Maybe a nuclear torpedo?

PLEASE READ THIS: I have had to guess at which torpedo is which, and I hope I have them correct. In the .zon file they have no identifiers, but they *should* follow the same order as in the Torpedo.sim file, and that's the order I used (that's the order you will see in SH3 Inspector in the Torps section).

Torpedo.zon rule.
Right click and Save Target As:
www.delraydepot.com/tt/Torpedo_zon.rul

Again, all rules are in the new Rules package:
www.delraydepot.com/tt/Rules.zip

Could someone make some changes to a few torps and let me know if I have the naming correct? Thanks.

TT

I have a workaround for SH3 Inspector going to the default installation...
1) Rename the original file in the default installation,
2) Copy in the one you want to edit,
3) Make your changes, save and the export to your modded install,
4) Rename the original back to default.

No problem Danlisa and your help is more then appreciated.

You can edit the zon file with the mini tweaker.

SH3 Mini-tweaker - you can make lots of changes with this, but remember to remove the copy of the edited file or your changes won't work. It will be stored in the same folder as the one you're changing.
Remove what from where?

Example - If you're working on camera.dat in mini-tweaker then once you're finished the program renames the original to copy of camera.dat and leaves it in the file path. eg.c:/program file/ubisoft/silent hunter III/data....etc. (whatever the path to the edited file is). Cut and paste this copy of.....(whatever) to a location of your choosing, this will "activate" your new copy (with changes) of said file.

Clear?:know:

THX! Found it now!

EDIT (Again): I changed the .zon and the .sim files and I only found a copy of the .sim file? Any ideas?

One at a time I hope.

Just test edited the .zon file for the IXC and mini-tweaker did leave a copy.

Not sure what is happening with your copy:doh:

Just found the problem. I closed the MiniTwaker and I forgot to change the destination folder.

THX very much Danlisa

I wonder if the game would count all the ships I sunk with 1 torpedo? :hmm:
