im going to do a duel install, any advice or things I need to do
? is it just a case of copying the unmodified SH3 folder to a new location and renaming it, i then load the game from the 2 different folders?

Thats one way of doing it Dan
The other way is to rename your current install - say to GW and then whack the dvd in the drice - click install then repair and you will get a fresh install of SIlentHunterIII

Whichever way you go create a shortcut to the .exe on the desktop and rename those as well so you know which one you are starting

i presume you cant rename the .exe itself.

Yes, you can rename the exe file. Once you do, then you can send it to your desktop as a shortcut....

i think there was some confusion. when i click repair, it re-installs it over the exisiting installation without asking you for an alternative location.

It did the same for me. I just copied the hole SH3 1.4 to another folder. Renamed the folder and installed GW into that one. Then, renamed the .exe and sent it to the desktop as a shortcut and it works fine that way.
