Hi!

I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes. I started playing with Sub Command and moved onto Dangerous Waters a few weeks ago. I have experience with the Seawolf and 688i but next to no experience with either the Akula or Kilo.

I'm looking for some people who are willing to take on a new guy (preferably sonar, this is my favourite station), hopefully people who play around GMT times.

I'm primarily a subs person, but I'm interested in using the FFG (learning the more complex FFG sonar systems mostly). TMA is my weakest point, my solutions are so bad that I just fall back on autocrew.

I also need to learn when and how to use the different types of sonar. I understand the use of passive sonar, but totally do not understand the use or point of active sonar (it's like telling everyone where to shoot at!).

I prefer not to use voice comms, and I use a downloaded version of the game (by downloaded, I mean bought through Steam) so I don't know if this is compatible with mods or multiplayer with non Steam clients.

If anyone is willing to take me on as apprentice, let me know by email (check my forum profile).

In summary,

I can pilot the Seawolf and 688i well enough offline with Autocrew on weapons and TMA.
I understand the use of passive sonar - narrow/broadband/demon.
I understand sound layers, mostly.
I vaguely understand helicopter sonar (dipping and sonobuoys)
I don't understand TMA.
I don't understand Russian sonar.
I'd like to learn how to use FFG sonar and weapon systems.
I'd like to learn TMA properly!

Thanks much for reading!

Hi Sonny, I see your from the Netherlands too. :)
Subcommand is no longer played as multiplayer as far as I know.
But I still have it installed so we can hook up for a game if you want.
I am on ICQ most of the times.
