I.E.:

The mission name is "testmission.mis"
The folder name is "...\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\SingleMissions\ English\testmission"

The medai.cfg file, which is located in every stock mission, is not really needed ---->

Very true,
same applies for the Multiplayer Folder,
Just tick Muliplay in the Mission Editor,
in parameters to Multiplay,
When Inserting Subs tick them as Human control,
8 Subs Max for Multiplay,
Or 16 with Private server,ie Lan,
All Games must be compatible in Multiplay,
Eg,SH3 1.4 Only
Or SH3 GWX 3.0 Gold Only,
You Cannot Join A GWX Game in Multiplay
With Silent Hunter 3 1.4 patch,
You will be booted by the Non-Matched files,
Simple, if you Play SH3 1.4, in Multiplay?
See a 1.4 Game?
Join It,
Same with GWX Versions,
Multiplay is Simple,
Your Files need to be the same as Others.
