thats a fair wait presuming that sh4 uses the sh3 engine

personnaly i was hoping for about feb next year.

My understanding is that they are aiming for June, but that a later release is more likely.

I suspect a later release about October time nicely timed for the Christmas sales result it should sell so fast blink and your miss it. The sale figures will go threw the roof and in to outer space. ;) :roll:

immediately there erupts that old....all too familar......its June....no its February....no it won't be until 2030 before they get it right....


...now for my part.....just put the correct maps....boats...language and such in the SHIII engine, squash a couple of bugs, release it now and let the modders work their wonders on it.

I don't know how much better one could expect a subsim to be than SHIII is with the current mega mods and fixes.

I think this means they will have to really spiff up the graphics. SH3 graphics are good but not outstanding, and the game is a year old.

This may mean less resources for coding the stuff we really want (but of course, more time to do it)

Graphics are plenty spiffy enough right now to suit me; I'm hoping that, instead, they focus on other improvements and corrections. In other words, I don't want to load a saved game in SH4 and find the crew standing on the bridge, admiring the most beautiful digital water ever seen from beneath the surface.... ;)
