I just re-installed the Close Combat V and modded it with some great mods that are out there.

I really didnt remember the game was this addictive! :o

To the point-- Anyone else here still playing the CC series? I was wondering if you would like to post your AAR´s (After action reports) to this thread?

I´d love to read your reports!

7th of June 1944
25 12th SS-Panzer-DIV. attacks Periers Ridge defended by 3rd Para BDE/6th AB


Finally, the SS reached the frontlines. Here´s my troops:

My primary object is to secure a foothold of the map without losing too many of my men.

My first move is to secure the Goston du Nord. If I leave it for later, the allies can reach it and it will be much tougher to capture. Two Panzergrenadier squads and a Jadpanzer IV got the job.

The allies had a recon squad in one of the buildings near the Goston du Nord, which I luckily spotted in time and annihilated them. The other Panzergrenadier squad wasnt so lucky, they were caught on a open while crossing a road and three of the got killed by an hiding Para Rifle Group. Goston du Nord was quickly taken with losses of three men against the 11 men the allies lost. Fair trade.

While the fight for the Goston du Nord was taking place, I ordered two Jagdpanzers and one Pzr.grenadier squad to secure the road to Lebisy Woods. No resistance encountered.

I quickly reinforced the buildings surrounding the Goston du Nord church in case of a counter-strike. (the arrows show the field of fire of the unit)

Two Pzr.Grenadier squads secure the buildings near the Hotel du Mont to prevent enemy from attacking us from the flanks.

Lucky PIAT squad scored a direct hit to one of my Jagdpanzers destroying it completely.

Enemy is preparing to counter-attack the Goston du Nord. Luckily I spotted them.

Heavy resistance in Monteburg. Had to pullback two squads (Blue line). I quickly moved two Pzr.Grenadier squads to their flank and captured the positions. Primary objective reached. Cease-fire made with the enemy.
