delete units on map?

Could someone please explain how the heck you remove a unit from the map?
I can place units ok but can't find a way to remove them! :nope:

I never found out how so i just drag the undesired ship thousands of kms away. but there must be a way but like i said I dont know

Select unit, hit delete key on Keyboard!
