I am trying to recall ... does SHCE autosave your current patrol every 20 minutes of realtime like AOD does?

No. In SHCE you need to press the key combination "ALT-O" (that's oh, not zero) and then save the game giving it a name.

I had implemented for AOD under DOSBOX a little automated script running in background that copies and renames the autosave to a data|time stamp file. This has proven very useful for occassional bugs which might crop up while running the game.

So, I was curious.
