yep get cmputil to compress them into the 3d.grp folder

also get decompress to extract from SC 3d.grp folder.

So decompress Sub Command 3d.grp

Then copy all the SCX files (they have Xmodel name.

Then cmutil 3d all scx models

Then you have to use dwedit, go into the 3d section of the editor and change all the 3d names to the SCX model names.

At some point in the future

Do you have SCXIIC exe?

What you can do is when you install it point it to a temporary folder.

Then you will have all the models in .j3d uncompressed.

Then all you have to do is copy them over to DW graphics folder and run the batch file to install them.

I think that would work, but you'd still have to change names over manually.

I agree SquidB. I have been playing SC with SCXII since they were available and the models are vastly superior to the ones in DW. I got DW yesterday, great sim, but the stock models are not a patch on the SCX ones. I wonder why SCS didn't use the models already created by the SCX team for use in DW? It seems a waste of a great resource. However, they must of had their reasons.

If you manage to sucessfully port the new models over let us know how it went.
