Not sure if suggestions should be left on discord or here, the discord suggestions section seems very busy (and conversational)

I'd like to see a practice mission implemented. Where upon spawning into a sub you can instantly see a random ship moving on the horizon with no AI detection. This would be solely for practising the TDC and comms between players in an attack situation. As it stands it takes about 40-60 minutes to get into a position to attack a convoy and you screw up or have some silly bugger manning the AP it all goes to hell. I don't think it would be hard to implement, but who knows.

What do people think? Could you see value in this?

Certainly. I would like to see a lower tier difficulty. A training missions with single ships at various levels of distance. Like a single ship quickly coming withing visual range for quick torpedo attack. Another from a different direction outside of visual range but audible on hydrophone with random approaching course. And then a single ship much further away, outside of hydrophone range, requiring an intercept sprint tens of kilometers away and subsequent search as to it's exact course and speed. The latter perhaps notified in the mission orders or a radio transmisison that comes in from BDU.

Or maybe the devs can make it so that you send a specific radio message with request for vector to nearest contact. And BDU responds with a message to one of the above with a random chance. I the mean time the contact spawns in the world.

[edit] I mean, the current setup of attacking a near convoy is fun and challenging. But that many sound sources close together makes it hard to distinguish them on the hydrophone, and track them. A less dense environment would help people get a grip on the learning curve.

This is a good idea, maybe another difficulty level called "practice" with target ships and no success credit at the end.
