View Full Version : SH4 Sound issue with U-boat patch

Hey,

I have the U-Boat DLC for SH4, and a bunch of mods. My problem is there are sound files that keep playing over and over and over and driving me insane from Das Boot. ie "More or Less? More or Less?" conversation. I'm sick of this guy screaming in my ear every 10 seconds. Is there any way to remove it? I never wanted the Das Boot. I don't have the Das Boot Mod. I'm playing the American campaign in the pacific, not the U-Boat campaign.

Eh... where is your Silent Hunter installed? ie: "Program Files (x86)", or "Games" or which folder? You might have a partially activated mod. Since you say you have mods, open your JSGME, and click on the blue "Tasks..." in the middle, and choose "Export activated mods list to -->" and choose "Clipboard". Paste that into you next post.

That looks like an SHIII list, Venus :O: - Listed last is Fall of the Rising Sun, which is a mega-mod, and probably overwrites portions of most of the rest of your mods. You most likely have mod soup. Generally speaking, you should do the mega-mod first, then "Flavor To Taste" as desired, paying attention to the warnings you get from JSGME as you activate other mods. Better still would be to play FOTRS by itself for a bit, get used to it, and then see what you might want to try to change. Also, read through AOTD_MadMax's documentation, and see what he already changed... One more thing, anytime you change mods, even just small changes, you will usually make the new configuration incompatible with any old game Saves and should not use them. :salute:

It includes:

-Incognito Soundpack
-Das Boot
-Ubisoft
-Various sources for WW2 sound on the Internet.
