Refuel down time?

So if I understand this correctly, if I have quick turn around selected for a fighter group, they will:

Take off

Refuel

Take off within a quick timeframe 20min or so

Do this a couple times

Then land for like 4-6 hours? Why? Maintenance?

Both planes and pilots can sustain a rapid-fire tempo only for a few sorties, afterwards they need extended downtime.
