Why so little harbor raiding?

Hi - like the subject says; I've searched and didn't find much. Nobody daring Rabaul or Truk?

I usually raid Tokyo and Kyoto harbor to get some easy capital ship kills. Beyond that I haven't explored a lot of the harbors. The ones I do explore usually just have medium transports that require to many torpedoes to kill.

We don't raid harbors since we consider it to be cheaty. Well at least I do though admit I've gone after a harbor to prevent a dry patrol.

Running decks awash keeps the battery charged and reduces the time it takes to get under, essential when there are patrol boats and airplanes all over the place. Don't forget to surface occasionally to dump the CO2, they designed it so the diesels run down to 29 feet but the air in the boat doesn't refresh.

Harbor raiding will change with mods.

Since you did not list your mods I would say your using the stock game so there is little to go for in raiding harbors.

Others mods change this and some even allow you to die from better escorted and protected escorts and auxiliary ships as well as mine fields and subnets.
