Hi, download them all ,the v720 patch 5 & jgsme you'll need that too. Check out the OM thread, it explains what you need & there's plenty of advice on how to get it running & all the links to the various parts of the mod

You need both - V705 is the main file and 705 to 720 patches it to the latest version - when you unzip them to your game folder you'll find there are still folders inside that you need to place in the mods folder [it's a while since I installed it so my memory is shaky on the details] Anyway, it's not as straightforward as say TMO, so check all the folders and subfolders and read all the documentation. OMEGU is a pretty good add on too.

One problem I've had is that since convoys tend to be huge, it's not a good idea to save a game too near to one. I tend to not overwrite savegames on any given patrol, so that if my current position turns out not to load, I can go back to the one previous - it's annoying, but to be honest, well worth it - OM is my absolute favourite version of SH4

To play Operation Monsun your mod order should be as follows ... or read the documentation first. Everything is explained in the documentation which no one reads first.

i just tried to install it only with jsgme how do i install it, is there more than just activating it in jsgme? Alao i cant open any of the readmes with adobe.

Everything is in the documentation. If you can not activate it then your doing the double folder routine so commonly made by skippers trying to install it.

Read the JSGME installation, read the mod installation and if you can not read the documentation in PDF open your PDF, click HELP and choose UPDATE and it will automatically update it for you. There should be no issues reading it after that.

Then again after what Lurker said I think it is pretty explanatory.

when ever I try to open up the readme with adobe it gives me a messeage saying it cant open the file because its either an unsupported file type or the file is damaged. what do I do?

Open it with WordPad.

You'll need to install a couple more mods to get the different loading screens and the german voices - I think there's a german language pack with OMEGU - or there's the Das Boot sound mod, commonly abbreviated to DBSM - if you install that one bear in mind it's pretty big- it installs fine with JSGME, but it will take about 15-20 mins. Your machine hasn't crashed.

There is a patch for the german language, I dont use it but is a complete german translation it says

My main screen didnt change with the mod, but I did download a custom intro screen for OM from this site

By the way ... it is best practice to do a clean install of the game, a clean install of JSGME and a clean install of the mods afterwards.

There is no guarantee that simply removing mods a b and c and replacing them with d f and g will replace and rewrite the correct files without corruption.

Guaranteed fixes require guaranteed methods.

If your still not opening the documentation then stop trying too. Open a document you can read then update your adobe. You should have at least Adobe X Reader.
