To get this big girl in the wind like this means it was a killer storm!

Love Narwhal, with them 6 inch deck guns she's more like a submersible light cruiser than a sub.

Really irritate me, you can tell it was written by a civilian who has zero understanding of the military.

"Narwhal joined Plunger and Trigger in scouting east of Midway; during the Battle of Midway on 3–6 June, these submarines – along with 15 others – accomplished nothing."

Idiot studying to be a moron but not studying very hard.

ALL scouting missions accomplish something very important when they find nothing, that tells the admirals or generals where the enemy is NOT, which helps tremendously not only in figuring out where the enemy IS by process of elimination, but also for planning movements, flanking maneuvers, and counterattacks. Midway island set out dozens of PBY search planes, 4 actually found the enemy, the rest told Nimitz which sectors the enemy was not approaching from. The subs did the same thing.

I had to get the Gato out alil before I called it a night. Convoy comes rolling up called in the airstrike no more minesweeper or Destroyer so then it was dinner time.

Don't forget the USS Nautilus(Part of the Narwhal class.) was detected by the Japanese and the destroyer Arashi stayed behind to try and sink her. Well she didn't but as she headed back to the fleet Wade McClusky spotted her and followed her to the Carriers. The rest as they say is history.

I will stop with the pictures. I saw that thread but It has over a hundred pages but I will not post pics outside of that thread anymore. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Rigging for silent run...

It's not about offending anyone. Just think what the forum would look like if everybody here created their own thread for pictures. :sunny:

Probably improve the look of the place, have we consulted an interior decorator? :har:

I looked at that thread, closing on 4000 posts. Most websites for games have a separate subforum for screen shots, and forums which cover more than one game have sub-subforums for screenshots for each game.

I've been thinking for a long time we could use at least one screenshot forum here.
