Howdy from Texas.

I played SH4 (v 1.4) with TMO and RSRD for a while several years ago then dropped out. I had taken a boat through two years of the war.

But, I am back, now, with a new boat starting at the beginning.

I am running SH4 with TMO and RSRD, although I have found some problems figuring out exactly which mods to run. Still, I completed the first patrol out of Java and managed to find and sink a cruiser near Borneo.

Anyway, I hope to get to know more of you boat captains and learn some intricacies of the game.

BTW, I am a retired Navy Captain, now teaching college.

You get the U-Boats expansion? Fixes a lot of stuff and the latest Super Mods use it.

Welcome aboard. When your running TMO and RSRD just make sure you are running compatible version of the two together. There are multiple TMO and RSRD version and not having them match will give you head aches.

Adding the U-Boat expansion adds a few fixes to the stock game as well as allowing you to play serveral good mods that are 1.5 compatible only.

RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1 ... http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1459

These three should be your first three and there should be nothing between these three mods. Smaller mods can come after them but they need to be in this order for better performance.

Welcome back, Cap'n.

Most of the mods work with v1.5 which you will have if you install the Uboat Missions Add-on. Installing the Add-on will also take care of many bugs in the game (even if you don't intend to play on the Axis side).

You've been on silent running almost as long as I've been a member here :)

Thanks! Yes, I played SH3 + GWX way back when, but have been ashore attending to other duties. I recently got SH4 + UBM and have been having fun catching up with all of the mods available.

Thanks to all the modders for your hard work and dedication. Also, thanks to the community for all the knowledge about these games and the history of WWII.
