I like to play offline, since my data plan is so minimal. Is that possible?

Yes you can play it offline. Multiplayer will be an option later.

Hinrich, regarding the text you're completely right. Actually this was still draft and even though I use Silent Service as guidance I won't simply copy it. Too much is totally different to SS. But yes, you couldn't know that from the screenshot, so that's my fault. :)

Alright, did some testing and a destroyer closed up directly. Fired all 6 fwd torpedoes, two of them hit. But this came in at a price. 2 of my 4 diesel engines had been hit by the gunner of the destroyer and I was almost dead in the water...
