View Full Version : Can Destroyer s / escorts effectiveness be decreased?

Haven’t been on here in a long time but ive recently got back into playing SH3 and SH4 I usually don’t have much time so I like to do single missions. Perhaps I’m useless but I’m always attacked by destroyers and they seem to detect me easily even on silent running before I get near a convoy.
Is there any way I can dumb down the destroyer Ai a little? or is there a mod that does this ? Thanks

Not sure about the mods, but how deep are you? I have found the following link extremely helpful for dealing with destroyer escorts...

It always seemed to me that the single missions are badly, badly constructed, usually putting you in the middle of multiple warships, which can all detect you before the game even starts and then asking you to get out of a situation you'd never put yourself in.

I make up custom missions for testing and that's about it. I gave up on single missions a long time ago.
