Changing submarine names

How can i change submarine names, from USS batfish to different?

I think it is impossible, at least on a game level. I don't know about it in modding level.

But the game must read names Like USS batfish, Uss seadragon, USS Pampanito, from some file i think.

There are 2 files you need to change if memmory corrects me go to my documents/sh4/data/cfg/saved games, open the last game you played alter the subs name then find a file called Career Track.upc and change the subs name in there to what ever you want and save.
Next time you start a new mission your sub will be renamed to what you changed it to.
