Hey all,
Just wondering what this child board is for. I see a lot of encrypted Enigma messages, but no explanation as to what's the point of the messages. :P
Is it a pseudo-forum-campaign sort of thing?

Yes we run a campaign of sorts with a simulated BDu that gives patrol grids for the U-Boats in our service.

As Casey said, it is a semi campaign with a simulated BDU, which will assign patrol grids and missions to the boats.

However, to expand further and to give you some more detail:
The players also send status messages (basically the same you see in game) with weather reports, fuel and armament status, boat status, position and so on while at sea, as to make it easier to track the individual boats.

They use a simulator which pretty accurately simulates a real Enigma machine, and can be quite challenging to use at time.

The Enigma Flotilla used to have its own web page and plenty of explanations and tutorials here in the forum. But I can't really tell you what happened to all the good stuff. :hmmm:

Yes, there are still some of us left!

I'm the current commander of the "Devils of the Deep". You're welcome to join us. We're currently on patrol in Janury - April 1940.

Yep, the room isn't the one we used to visit in the past.
Life goes on I guess ;)
