Simple tutorial for the Mission Editor?

Does anybody know where I can find a decent Mission Editor guide for complete dummies. I initially just want to add some static ships to the German harbours in my Campaign and can't get the Harbour Traffic Mod to work. The links I found so far to various tutorials are all dead. I've never used the Mission Editor and am a little wary of just plunging in in case I screw something up
