How do you play online when behind a router?

Somebody who I wish to play DW with is behind a router. His external IP doesn't get forwarded to his machine so DW adapter is only detecting his internal ip which starts with a number 10.

He seems having difficulty in trying to fix this issue. Does anyone have any suggestion how to play online with Direct TCP/IP when one is behind a router?

To host you have to open on router the TCP/UDP on ports from 2305 to 2400 to the internal IP of the hosting machine.

Sometime could be useful disable UPnP feature on router.

Disable Windows firewall or unblock DirectX connections.

For client nothing necessary: just connect to public IP of host machine.

have you tried hyperlobby ? they have it but of course I don't see alot of people playing it there. lots of flight sims there.

I'll keep that in mind , I had just unistalled DW to un glog my hard drive, it was a casualty of my attempts to mod strike fighter, if you are up for a fly I'm in there around 1800 hrs eastern standard time I can only fly Wings over Vietnam and Janes WWll fighters do to the fact my online machine is a dinosaur.

You can play Wings over Israel. If you put in ENBS bloom directX dll it would give you massive performance boost. I sually mod my Wings over installent so much that I doubt it could be played online. I'll kepp your invitation in mind too. I don't have Wings over Vietnam installed at the moment. What I'm interested in in the series is fying Soviet planes.

thanks for the tip the lobby runs on the base of the program I think the mods will not make a problem . wov in the lobby has mig 17, 19 and 21 . wov mod wov 84 found in combat ace has the Russian campaign in it.
