U-99 is docked at Kiel after first patrol.

No crewman wounded or killed during 18-day patrol. Approximately 90% hull integrity remains, most damage as a result of ASW aircraft attacks. Patrol totals were 11 merchants sunk (1 French, 1 Polish, 9 English) for 34,000 GWT.

Most ships in patrol area (CAESAR) were smaller merchants (less than 2000 tons). ASW aircraft coverage was relatively heavy, forcing most daylight travel to occur submerged.

Granting crew 8 days leave while repairs are made, at the completion of which U-99 will be ready for next patrol.
