Hey guys,

Love the forum. Just signed up, it's been a huge help in figuring out SH5, which I've grown to like despite all the problems.

Anyone up for MP tonight? I'll be around 10-11pm Eastern time in the US/Canada. Check back in in a little bit.

I'm up for a game. I know it is late, but I will check to see if you have started one on Uplay. I love this game and I would like to play online, but I can't find any games. I will keep checking here for updates.

Do you have Team Speak?

Seeing a session online now, but the option to join is greyed out. Anyone have any tips for dealing with this? Can you set private games that others can't just hop into? Been waiting to see a session pop up and now that it has, I can't join it, kind of frustrating...

Showing latency is 999, if that means anything.

I can't join richards game, but try my server. I just started it. Do you have Team Speak 3? and a mic so we can hear eachother?

I wllI don't know if this will work. Some people have been having problems with closed ports. I have to test to see if others can join my games. On Borderlands I could not start a server, only join.

Getting 999 in both sessions on Ubi right now. Trying to manually open the ports now...

I've done that a couple of times in the past 30 mins or so. Bartianus. Now, though, the game is telling me it can't create a session. WTF?

And now I'm getting a message that the game can't refresh the sessions list. Awesome. Beginning to think MP has as many bugs as the rest of the game.

I DLed Teamspeak again after your first msg, btw, but then this connection issue showed up. Could you see the session I started a few mins ago? Had to log out of my router setup before the game would let me do anything with MP, that was apparently the issue a moment ago.

I read on the forum that some people had better luck with LAN games.

LAN is just IP to IP, but this one doesn't ask for the IP. it gives a list. Did you see my server in the LAN list?

Had to start the game again. Takes a while when you've got tons of saves to synchronize. Love this DRM!!

Looked just now, didn't see anything in LAN. Can you start again? I'll try one now there, too.

I see it. Test Game. It's 999. But that may be my ports. We must both have to open our ports. I'll look in to it.

Yup, that was me. Thanks a lot for trying to work on this. Looks like a port issue. I'll open mine up. Be back around tomorrow if you want to try to hook up for a game then.

Mp works fine.

The host needs to add the ports properly.

Port# Protocol
80 Both (TCP + UDP)
3074 Both
3075-3174 UDP (only UDP)
19000-19002 Both

Now, when it says only "UDP" make sure you use only "UDP", setting this to both will not work.

The problem is that its not as simple as most PC mp gamers are used to. Usually your logging into a dedicated server online. In this case SH5 Players need to set up the games accordingly (proper router settings) to allow the games to be hosted online.

And please guys, dont use Teamspeak, its ancient technology that deserves to stay in the 00's, use SKYPE! (http://skype.com)

I havent played in a week or so. I will be around from about 9 EST, hosting some new maps by guys here and a few new ones by me.

Send a message or add me to Skype @ depthdragon ..... TS will never be installed on any of my machines again ;]
