The watch officer is driving me crazy.

The watch officer is constantly reporting ship sighted, I know that's his job, but he does it while we are still in port, he must have reported 10-20 time while I was leaving Wilhelmshaven, but they were all ships that were still at anchor. Is there a mod that limits his reports, at least while we are in port. I would order him below decks but then my DFant_subflag mod would no longer work.

Well, change to SH5:D. There's an option to avoid friendly contacts. It means two things:
-NO constant reports from "Watch Officer"
-NO decreasing time when you are near a friendly contact.

Have you visited the MOD forum for SH5? I'm sure that in a few days they'll reach to find how to sail without that absurd DRM.
