Our Art Director, Steve Estes, just keeps getting better and better!

He has been with Norm and I for over 10 years now. We told him when developing Jutland that we wanted the game to have the feel of one of those great historical battle paintings!

Is this a patch for Distant Guns to bring it to the graphical level of Jutland?

No, it's more of a thorough overhaul of DG to bring the game mechanics up very close to the standards of Jutland. There are a few things in Jutland that won't be in DG 1.5, but not many. While we were at it, we also spruced up the ship models a bit, revised the ship data in light of subsequent research, etc.

As such, DG 1.5 isn't a patch of the old DG, it's a new stand-alone product, even if it covers a subject we've done before.

Looks like the upgrade will be in the $35 range.

The price for the game is going back up to $59.95

Jutland will also be going up to 59.95

So, if you're an old DG customer, you'll probably save about $25 on DG 1.5. But these prices ain't set in stone yet, so this may change before release.
