Most common reason for this error is players forgetting to register thier game when they got it with UBISOFT. Once registered remember that the UID & PW is case sensitive and that the PW must contain at least 6 letters and 1 number.

As it is common for browsers like Firefox to have tighter security than web browsers of days gone by, double check to make sure that whatever web browser you're using is set to allow cookies and javascript for ubi.com.
Browsers that block or restrict cookies and javascript will cause errors when dealing with the functionality and authentication used by ubi.com.
Onkle Neal, did you ever get yours sorted out?

1.disable the security level of your browser, and uncheck the protection
2.click apply
3.disable your cook protection
4.apply, ok
5. close all windows
6.restart the ie (browser), go to new account or PWord changing page(forgot your pass? link)
7. disable all of your antivirus protection (spyware etc)
8. type your ID with all the details cap space, etc. exactely how u did first time. tip: always minuscule, all together (if new one)
9. now the hard part, put your fav pass, and shi, if it doesn't work, try a whole different pass (at least 6 characters ******)
10. try over and over until get it
11. i 've got it just at third time !!!
