Even though I've played SH3 for years, it was only in the single-player career.

I had been wanting to try out multiplayer for a long time but the regimented structure of most online flotillas wasn't suited to my style. I just wanted to play online, not have to complete "training missions" before being allowed into the group.

There was also the fact that it seems most of the flotillas or other online multiplayer groups had sailed their last patrols many moons ago. :-?

Then I stumbled across a thread about ComSubsPac.com in here.

Let me tell you, these guys are more fun than a barrel of drunk monkeys! I was immediately made welcome and very quickly was sorted out on how to use Teamspeak and how to set up my SH3 to play online! I was able to get in there and play within minutes. No "training" required either!

Teamspeak? Imagine that! Actually talking to the guys you're playing with instead of accidentally firing torpedoes while you're trying to type. Let's face it, text chat in SH3 ain't exactly polished to perfection. :O:

Now, I have so much fun with multiplayer that I haven't gone back to my single-player career in over two months!

There's always brand-new missions to play. Some of them are rather straightforward while others will challenge even the best kaleuns. Never a dull moment, that's for sure! :salute:

ComSubsPac even hosts games for GWX 3.0, Mikhayl's S-Boot mod, and SH4!

I highly recommend ComSubsPac for anyone looking for an open, friendly community for online multiplayer with SH3 and SH4! I give it two thumbs up! :yeah:

Now that I have a home for multiplayer, my biggest problem with SH3 is making it through the day without playing a game! :haha:

Rebel, it is indeed fun sailing with you! Your banter is even more entertaining that the game itself, dear sir! :haha:

You're the best proof that even 100% realism is possible with multiplayer and still manage to hold your own with the rest of us who still rely on a WO to calculate firing solutions! :salute:

By that statement do you mean English is not your primary language or you do not speak or understand spoken English very well or not at all? You certainly seem to communicate well in print!

ComSubsPac is mainly English speaking but there is no rule that you must speak English to join and you are more than welcome to host or play in games with people that share whatever language you prefer. As a matter of fact, get some friends to join with you!

Some of the members do speak more than one language. Just bear in mind that the founder and many of the administrators can only read/write/speak in English due to ComSubsPac starting out in the U.K. and U.S.

There are members from all over...America, Brazil, U.K., Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Australia, and more! :know:

Teamspeak does also allow text chatting as well, should you need to make yourself more clearly understood. I've played with a guy from Poland who can speak very little English but he also uses text at times when he's searching for the right words.

So whether you speak English, French, Spanish, ...or Klingon!.... we all share the common language of fun! :yep:

Give it a try....and tell them Graf sent you! :03:

The Teamspeak banner in my sig will show you when I'm online there and clicking it will take you to the ComSubsPack Teamspeak viewer page to show you who is logged in and ready to play.

The Command Submarines Pack banner will take you to the registration page for ComSubsPac. You'll need an account with Ubi to play SH3 ( or SH4, your choice) online and your ubi.com user name should also be the one you use at ComSubsPac and in Teamspeak. That way, your name in multiplayer matches will be the same as your CSP member name.

It gets confusing if you pick different names!

Looking forward to running in a wolfpack with you! :salute:
