Here is the initial shot of Mystery Subsim #27
http://www.subsim.com/mystery/ms27a.gif

If you guess, and you are wrong, then you have used one of your three wrong guesses alloted to each player. Each player gets only three wrong guesses in the whole contest before your participation ends, so guess wisely (if you are really sure). If you don't know, don't waste a guess! :) You can only guess incorrectly three times in the contest.

You cannot EDIT your post in this contest. An edited or deleted post counts as a guess.

Remember the rules!! (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=143829)

If no one tries to guess this shot, or no one guesses correctly, there will be an expanded shot to follow.

Good hunting!
Neal

I'll take a snapshot-cut-the-wires hunch: Up Periscope.

...you mean I wasted one of my three shots!?

Hey, how did you get a shot of my Japanese Campaign, it isn't even released yet?:rotfl: I'm old enough to remember graphics like that but I don't have a clue.

About the game: (http://nitros9.lcurtisboyle.com/seadragon.html)

This game appeared on multiple platforms (TRS-80 Model I/III, Apple II, Atari 400/800, as well as Coco), and only two versions (as far as I know) had speech: The Apple, and the Coco version. The Coco version also featured a lot of multi-part harmony songs throughout the game, although you could shut that off during the main game (I wouldn't recommend it though, or destroying the reactor at the end is quite disappointing). The basic premise is similiar to such arcade hits as Scramble; you are going through a maze of underwater tunnels, etc. trying to get to the reactor at the end in order to blow it up. Like Scramble, once you get far enough to certain points, if you die, you will start at the new point, rather than right at the beginning. If you are good enough, you will not notice this, as it is one smooth run through the whole thing (there is no pauses between the stages). The first three 'levels' pictured above are the starting points of each stage... there are several screens worth of scrolling terrain between each of them. You are the submarine, and you have to shoot and dodge your way through all of this, and also surface occasionally to replenish your air, or you will die of suffocation. Once you get to the reactor, you have to dodge fire from two indestructable turrets, while blasting through a stationary triangular wall, and then a moving rectangular one.

I thought that one would have lasted longer but it figures there are some old timers who know what a Radio Shack computer is

(I'm going to let TDK slide with his SH5 "guess"... hah hah hah :dead: )

Next up: Mystery Subsim #28: The Unholy Adventure
