This isn't my computer. This is for my aunt. She called me and said she was getting BSODs. I'm thinking it is memory related. She ran some test that comes with Vista and said it found hardware problems. This computer was bought back in February. It is a Compaq. She e-mailed me an error report, but I'm not sure what to make of it (I was expecting something similar to an XP report). I typed BCCode 24 into a search and it came back with a NTFS problem. I appreciate any help!

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said memory related. Can she take it back if still under warranty let Compaq sort out the problem.

I probably shouldn't be saying this but I am indirectly employed by HP (I work at a call center on a HP notebook contract). If its a notebook you can give us a call and either A. Send it in for service (best case 2 week turn around time) B. We can send out customer replaceable parts (RAM, HDD, WIFi card, and Optical drive) if you were really positive it was the memory and wanted to replace it yourself. There is a tight colateral policy on parts though (we take down your credit card number and you have 15 days to return the defective part or else we charge you for the new one, we pay for return shipping though so it costs you 0). If its a desk top things would be a little different, I think they can send a tech to your house on a desktop issue. This is all if your in warranty. If the warranty is up don't even bother as the prices you will have to pay for parts is rediculous.
