Cruizing in the west pacific last night I got a sonar hit. Seeing that I wasn't occupied I decided to try and hook'em.
As soon as I got a visual indication I go to PD to have a safer look...but I get no silhouette, all I see are what appears to be really big bubbles. I continue on and jocky for position but this thing is moving quite fast.
To my surprise it looks like 2 or 3 mast sail:huh::huh::huh::huh: but i'm pretty sure they don't clip along at 25 to 30 knots with fo little wind, sure enough it was a very large ship with alot of sails.
I didn't know what do to, hit or hide??
Who is it and how often does it show up??
