It is up to each group to divide the responsibilities how they think best.

For example, 1 us player focuses on atlantic, the other pacific. Or one focuses takes italy and minor allies, the other germany and so on. It's up to you.

As i've tried to explain to Akbar gulag,

don't try reading them too carefully.

Download the explorer rulebook that i indicated eariler. Each main section has an intrduction. For now you should just read the introductions to air ground and naval ops.

Joe...I know that in A3R, Italy is a seperate country. I guess you are putting them under the same umbrella?

Yep, european axis under one umbrella. The axis team can split responsibilites any way they please, so it's perfectly possible to have a Germany player and an Italy + minor countries player for example.

For the US team, it is your job in the early stages to represent the Nationalist Chinese. This is a small ground war and is therefore a good opportunity to cut your teeth with the ground combat rules before things get really crazy.

So I advise you skim through the rules for ground combat and china

Great Britain also plays France, and the Netherlands. You may be able to persuade the US player to take France if you don't want to.

The Great Britain player of course starts the game running, but you have a couple of turns of phony war to get acclimatised before the s%%% hits the fan. In the phony war you get to deal a bit with fighting U-boats.

I recommend you browse the rules for air, ground, anglo-french cooperation

As Japan, long before the US gets involved you will have a war in China to fight, so you need to be acquainted with ground and air rules

could you just take a look at the first post and specify your position anew? I decided to restart the preferences system because strangely everyone wanted naval jobs. Now you just specify your team and it is up to the team to divide the labours as they please.

If you want a plum naval job, i recommend japan. They only have one player so far

As Russia CCIP and AkbarGulag (me) will also be playing China. Apparently thats what we do :yep: So you can shoot all you like, but I assure you, the people of China will brook not your aggression, and expel the barbarians back to the Island of the Sun.
