I thought that with this addon u get a snorkel...
but where is it`??
in the upc Data the upgrade is disabled and I found no slot or so!
The German subs had a snorkel in the late war we all know this...

Most of the Monsun boats lacked a schnorkel device. Also lacking were the better radars and radar detectors.

But hey, if the Germans can have a Type XVIII U-boat, why not allow the option for a schnorkel on the IXD2 boats.

Guess it is up to the modders to fix that one.

In the book Shooting the war by Otto Giese theres a picture of a snorkel they built from plans sent to them whilst serving from japanese ports. So surely there should be a snorkel especially when in the add-on they got the most up to date radar and torpedoes a snorkel isn't too much to ask.

But the developers begin to made a snorkel but they did'nt bring it into the game

This is especially confusing since the description for the Tarnmatte specifically describes it as being a Snorkel modification...

There is no Snorkel that i saw, for both the IXD and the XVIII

I think U-859 was my IXD before i got the XVIII

But still, the Snorkel SHOULD be there, atleast for the XVIII...

I think it's too difficult to implement the snorkel in the structure of SH IV

And remember: the people in the US pay 10 USD for the add on.

What do you anticipate for that money ? A new programme with all the nice things from the german boats ?

And a darts board with a picture of Donitz ? ;)

Anyway, i can see snorkel-related stuff in the code, so it might be moddable, i sure hope so...

Commander Bernard Von Unfal is the in charge of my U-180 IXD2 and has his version of a schnorkel.

He issued the crew straws.
