Hello
This is my "SH4_Single Missions Series" mod.
You need net2.0 installed, I have tested it with Vista and XP sp2.
It is alpha quality. Maybe it work with your machine or not.
It contains: Sh4Sms.exe program and "TestMission", single mission series,
with only two sub missions, Start and SanFran. Also a "StartPic.jpg".
Un7zip "Sh4_SingleMissionSeries.7z. And copy folder "SingleMissionSeries" to sh4 main folder.
Also copy Sh4SmS.exe to Sh4 main folder.
This is how it works:
Start Sh4SmS.
Enter TestMission to "the name of the game" textBox and click "Enter" button, it will copy
"start" and "SanFran" sub missions to SeriesCode folder, and also you see "StartPic.jpg".
Allways use StartPic.jpg as name for you own Single mission series startPic. You must use one.
In Code textbox enter Start, and click "enter" button. it will copy "Start" sub folder = "singlemissions\sms\"
to "START" folder.
Finally, click start button, it will copy "singlemissions\sms\" folder to data . And start sh4.
When SH4 runs go to "Quick missions" look for "Single Mission Series" and start it.
You must allways use "sms" folder name and sms.mis file name.
This way only "sms"foder will be in SH4. If you do not want it in SH4, you must remove it manually.
Why?? "Single mission series".
You only make one mission at time, easy to do and debug.
Also depending what player did in last mission he may get different code.
This way in Quick mission there can be multiple endings. More fun!!
If you like to test my mod, remember it is all alpha = Works with my new vista comp and
with my old XP sp2 comp, but with your comp i do not know? REMEMBER you need NET2.0
:D :D

Hi,

It seems nice what you made, but can you tell me what the difference is between your program and the standard mission editor?
Is it easier and more user-friendly to make missions?

Thanks and regards,
fvd

"It seems nice what you made, but can you tell me what the difference is between your program and the standard mission editor?:hmm:

Hello
My "mission launchers" main difference to generic "career mode" is, it is like "tv series", and not like "long film".You make series of short missions with SH4 Editor. Give all of them same name "sms.mis"
Put "sms.mis" in "sms" folder, and put "sms" folder in "code" folder . Every
code folder has different name, but for first one i recommend, name it as "start".
Depending what player did in "start" mission, he will receive a radio message
with "code name " to start the next mission in series. Not like mission no 1, 2, 3 but like 1, 3, 8. You "jump to different mission depending what you did .:D

"Is it easier and more user-friendly to make missions?":hmm:
Short missions as series make one long mission or "career".
You make one short mission at time, easy to do and debug.:D

Folders must be like this:"TestMission"= name of series. in testmission folder:
StartPic.jpg . "sanFran", "start" = short mission folders with "code" names.
In "sanFran" folder:
SingleMissions folder = SH4 folder in Data folder. in SingleMissions folder:
"sms" folder = Quick mission name folder. in "sms" folder
"sms.mis" = Name of short mission that you made with SH4 mission editor.
"sms" = single mission series.:D
