I know there was a thread like this some time back but I couldn't find it. I had posted to it, but I can't even find it when looking through my posts. Anywho, I was messing around with my new digital camera and wanted to post this. I built it back in March 2005. I can't believe it is going to be three years old in another month and half. :dead:

Mine looks like a compaq computer case for some reason.:D

That's a pretty case there !

A friend of mine made a caseless computer in his room. He actually mounted his motherboard on the side of his desk and had the drives hanging underneath his monitor stand. It was fantastic for cooling and made it a breeze for him to work on.:hmm:
I have no idea why he did this, but it sure looked interesting.

This is a few months old but nothings changed, still the common bland looking cases with the side window.

What a cool idea! (Pun not intended ) With cats around here, though, I would be worried they would swat at something. "Ooh, this cable looks like fun. Let's swat at it." :dead:

One thing I would do different if I got a new case would be to get one without a door on the front. It just gets in the way.

Yeah. It makes it easy for him to clean too. Just a little vaccume with a vacume hose and he's good. It also makes upgrading cards and such a snap. I wouldn't advise putting the motherboard in an area anyone walks past though or else those graphics and sound cards really COULD go "SNAP!"

This is the same friend who also drilled a hole in the floor of his computer room to run computer cables down through the cieling to his TV where he uses a really long range wireless mouse and keyboard to be able to use his computer right in the living roomWhile sitting on the couch. When he got board with TV, he wouldn't have to walk upstairs. Just hit the TV SOURCE button and bammo.. he's playing Half Life 2 or web surfing.
The mouse and keyboard were cool. It had a gyroscope in it so it was motion sensative so you could move the mouse just by waving the thing in the air. The keyboard and mouse had a range of something like 100 feet or so.
